Pawan Kalyan's 'Puli' begins shoot
Puli Script ready Class Vs Mass
Pawan Kalyan's Jalsa is gearing up to release on 28th of this month with more than 400 prints. There is lot of positive talk about the film. It was even commented in Jalsa audio release function that even if Pawan delivers a small hit, the range would be untouchable. However, the industry circle feels that the film might hit the bulls eye. Even though all eyes are set on Jalsa, stage is getting ready for Pawan's next film.
As per very reliable sources, Pawan Kalyan is doing dual role in the film directed by SJ Surya. Earlier SJ Surya directed Pawan for blockbuster hit Kushi. Kushi is done in Telugu with Pawan and in Tamil with Vijay. Sources say that the script came out superb. At present, the film is being referred to as Puli. (Megastar Chiranjeevi had a film in the past with the same name but the film was a disaster). Coming to the double role in the film, one will be a disciplined cop while the other is a mass masala character. The film is being planned to come as full entertainer and has chances of starting shortly after the release of Jalsa. AR Rehman will compose music. S Ramesh is producing the film. More spice is the news that Pawan is being paid whopping 10 crores for this film.
Power Star Pavan kalyan's Jalsa creating wonders at Box office
With no competition in sight coupled by the movie’s craze and summer season, Jalsa’s doesn’t budge from the top spot at boxoffice. Reports from Sify from Chennai state that the movie which opened with 6 screens claimed the number two spot in the city. Says Meenakshi Sundaram of Mayajaal: "For the first time for a non Tamil film we are having six shows daily, due to the pressure for tickets." The movie is still going housefuls in Movieland and PVR Kormangla in Bangalore.
In Hyderabad too, the movie is strong in collections with the drastic reduction in theatres. Instead of getting similar gross and lower shares by having more theatres, the distributors reduced the screen count to get higher shares from each screen. The movie reached the 8-crore share mark in Nizam territory, 3.75 crores away from being the highest grosser in that circuit. In the second week in Utthara Andhra, the movie collected nearly 1 crore sharing, taking its two week total gross to 2.75 crore and share to 2.35 crores. The two weeks share in Guntur is 1.66 crores. The movie amassed a share of 1.52 crores for the second week in Krishna district. Inspite of mixed reviews, the movie had a very strong opening from the first weekend itself in the overseas territory.
Will Kareena be the diva of Puli?
Sensational actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan is rocking all over with his latest film Jalsa with record breaking collections raising everyone’s eye-brows. Though he had a series of flops in the past, Jalsa has crossed its borders by creating sensation even with divided talk in the beginning of its release.
After the success of the film Jalsa, the expectations for Pawan’s next project Puli has raised to such a level, that not just his fans but also among the general public. Puli which is directed by the young and dynamic SJ Soorya is produced by Singanamala Ramesh. Astonishing music director AR Rehman’s music and Binodh Pradhan’s cinematography would be the highlights of the film. Also it’s learnt that Hollywood stuntmasters would direct the action sequences for the film.
With so many special features in Puli, how can one ever think of an ordinary heroine? So the producer is trying at his level best to rope in the crazy actress of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, for this grand film.
